This moment

Has there ever been a moment like this moment? Nay!
‘tis this moment we light the fire and cook our meals
‘tis this moment we share our tears of joy and sorrow
‘tis this moment the most powerful, eternally powerful
Amidst all else.

‘tis the moment we embrace our life with lively breathings
And this is the moment we stride around with various paces
Moving forward and backward searching for something
Something that we lost in the past or something we dream of,
But, yet to come.

Has there ever been a moment like this moment? Nay!
‘tis the moment I comb my hair till it drops
‘tis the moment I check my face to count the wrinkles
‘tis the moment I realize growing old is nice,
Yes, this is the moment.

This is the moment we embrace our life with lively breathings
And this is the moment we stride with various paces
‘tis the moment we feel the oneness between humankind
‘tis the moment we wipe each others tears,
The reality so illusive.

The rush for tomorrow’s unseen dreams
Execute today’s realistic life,
The erasure of the bygone past
Rewritten many times on illusory notes,
Hardly many live this moment of truth.

Has there ever been a moment like now? Nay
‘tis this moment we light the fire and cook our meals
‘tis this moment we say the food taste good
‘tis this moment we quench our thirst.

Ask our senses, all will cohesively agree

‘tis this moment.

  1. yes...its only this moment,
eternity is an illusion....like sky, we don't know where it began, where it ends,

this poem calls for deep philosophical analysis, Cyclops...very nicely penned :)

  2. If we lived in the moment as well or as much as we live in the past/future what a pleasant world this would be. Well said cyclops.
