Half of my life is spent being alone, and I enjoy that existence very much. It gives me time to ponder, to understand, to view and review life from many different angles.Being alone, I cherished that moment most and it gives me the energy needed, the motivation needed, the courage to fight off the fear and many more.But that doesn't mean that I don't have friends. I do have many friends, but only one true friend (Venus) who truly understands me, perhaps better than I understand myself. I appreciate her friendship very much.
But, it is the loneliness that kills me hard. It murders me out-rightly. In solitude I am one with the Universal Energy, called God by many. When I am alone, I am the thoughts, emotions and the desires that guide me to evaluate my presence here. But, in loneliness I am a dead tree. I do not grow. It adds pain. It adds worries.
Loneliness is a world totally different from being alone.It speaks a dangerous language. A slip into that can be fatal for many. Two powers that stands opposed to each other. One builds, another one kills.

This poem really touched my heart.
ReplyDeleteYour friendship means a lot to me.
By being alone we understand many things but not loneliness. True, loneliness kills. It is difficult to be explained. I do pray and hope this loneliness will disappear soon.
God Bless.
I hope this is just a fition.
ReplyDeleteTake Care.
I have always liked to be announced as a party of one myself.
ReplyDeleteI am yet to understands what brings me to one place and not the other. Like you, I have always enjoyed being alone for a while. But, when I feel lonely, it is an inexplicable anguish that doesn't seem to be satisfied.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it is because one I seek, the other one chases me.
Loneliness is a nasty feeling indeed. I am lucky that I found places and people who are a bit more like me and the loneliness doesn't creep up that much anymore.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find your way to get rid of it. Take care
@venus...Thank you. One can be lonely in the crowd as well.
ReplyDelete@Neeha...Reality:)
@Walking Man...Thanks
@JBT...that anguish is murderous. Tq.
@Marja...it comes and goes. The strength lies in facing this devil face to face and squeeze it tightly. Sometimes the mind acts feebly against it. Tq.
I don't relate to loneliness and never have. I think it's a matter of attitude and love for self. I guess it's easy for someone like me to tell someone else to get out and be around people more. Do some volunteer work with people less fortunate. Find a passion and work on it... I don't know if this helps--but I think you need some HELP from someone professionally. Good Luck and God Bless.

@Thank you Betsy for the advice. Appreciate that very much.
ReplyDeleteLoneliness is one of the worst feelings
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely poem. The differentiation between being alone and being lonely is so clever. I know those two feelings can overlap each other...
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, and for your sweet comment.
Happy Valentine's!
