Remnants of memory
A legacy of yore
Beyond the firmament
Humanity trails the cosmic dust.

And the cycle of life
Starts, again and again
Until the dust settles
Eternity shall remain.

    You seem to draw upon our connection to the past and future even while we live in the present and may end as dust (Dust to dust, as the Bible says?) Am I reading this correctly?
