Death Sentence

    Judgment passed
    Punishment meted
    Criminal is the label
    Dead is the sentence

    Price of the soul
    Is but a signature away!!
    Where the hell is God?
    When judges can growl law?

    And, rope hangs the criminal
    But, not the crime.
    Where the hell is God?
    When judges can growl law?

  2. A thought-provoking poem, Cy. Love it...I should share it with the attorney I work for. :)

  3. I have/had three judges in my family....None had the chance to dictate capital punishment, Luckily :)

"Where the hell is God?" -- hell or heaven God is not so much anywhere as it is within you....i believe

As sage, I too am interested to know the context, Cyclop...You seem much annoyed...the previous one, too

  4. There's a great quest in your poem, to be justified! I wonder what sense and knowledge gives us is to sent someone to death sentence? I'm against this in any form and realization is the biggest sentence in this universe.

Reminded me "The punishment can be remitted; the crime is everlasting.
