Shadow


Hiding beyond light
In the daylight shine of the sun
It follows us intact.
Grasp it by hand
It remains impalpable
Step it hard
It hardly cries out pain.

It is ever there
Yet never there.

We see or not
It matters not
For the blocked light
It speaks so.
