Dismal thoughts
Slide me into an abyss
Another tryst, I have in hand.
Fighting the thoughts
Carries the weight
That saps my being
Away from peace and bliss.
Though devoid of many things
In pain I still owe YOU
An existence,
Which I shall never repay.
Am I the thoughts?
That glides by swiftly
From second to second
Or
Am I am the witness?
That sees the thoughts
Passing through
Like the salty waves.
As thoughts when I am part of it
I exist melancholically,
When I withdraw and enter stillness
Nothing but me remains.

Something to ponder over....
Trapped in thoughts takes on a new meaning, doesnt it?
ReplyDeleteConfusion?
ReplyDeleteYou are the witness of your thoughts.
Thought provoking poem.
Thank you my fren.
Dismal thoughts can set mind on a right course, only at 'certain' times though....
ReplyDeletein our belief systems -- life takes a rebirth to repay those in the previous birth....
so what is given could the givers due in his/her past; what is owed is your due for the next...
and the cycle alled life continues...
melancholy is not good for health Cylop..take a walk outside you will feel fresh..
i choose to be a critic of you at my blog, yet like to remain a friend at your blog until you say 'no' :-)
wishes!
